Center for Applied Health Research

CAHR Executive Committee

The Center for Applied Health Research (CAHR), formed under the guidance of Dr. Alejandro Arroliga, Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Scott & White and the Texas A&M College of Medicine Health Science Center, supports investigator-initiated, multidisciplinary efforts to generate applied health knowledge in Central Texas. Our research programs are diverse and it is our intention to collaborate on and advance applied health research throughout our sponsoring institutions.

CAHR brings together researchers, clinicians, and educators with expertise in areas such as -

  • Health services research
  • Data extraction and analysis
  • Community-based health research
  • Research mentoring
  • Academic development of clinicians
  • Patient-centered safety
  • Patient activation research

Cancer Survivor?

If you are

  • at least 60 years of age
  • have been diagnosed with cancer
  • are not in active cancer treatment
  • have access to the internet, speak English, and live in Texas

You may be eligible to interview for a research study on mobile technology and cancer survivorship. Compensation may be given for time and effort.
